Hi!

My name is Klil and I am a naturalist and conservationist. I grew up in the mountains of the Galilee in northern Israel, and am now based in the Israeli Negev desert. Ever since I can remember, I have been fascinated by nature and animals. In recent years I have also become an avid birdwatcher.

Following my love and passion for nature I decided to study Life Sciences for my undergraduate degree at Ben-Gurion University of the Negev. The knowledge and insights that I gained during my studies led me to new questions about the mechanisms governing our natural world. During my final undergraduate year I started working as a bachelor's researcher at a lab dedicated to exploring various aspects of biological and ecological networks. In this lab, I conducted a project dedicated to species roles in ecological networks.

My love for birdwatching has also led me to become interested in nature conservation. Presently I am an M.Sc. student at the Mitrani Department of Desert Ecology, Blaustein's Institutes for Desert Research, Ben-Gurion University of the Negev. My research will focus on patterns of habitat-use by invasive and native bird species in and around human settlements in a desert environment.
